Description Duke 2004-11-17 16:05:24 UTC
I think it might be time to update the gkrellmms ebuild to x86. There's no way it can be any less stable than previous releases.

I'm running 2.1.15 right now, as it appears to be the latest stable in the portage tree. However, it causes gkrellm to segfault rather quickly - a documented bug shown in the changelog for 2.1.16 at the above link. There also seems to be a heap of bugs between 2.1.15 and 2.1.20.

"Fixed crash when updating playlist. Thanks to Jan Tomasek for the pointer"
That's when the bug occurs. As far as I can tell, it doesn't happen every time, but usually within an hour or two. Often enough that I've had to disable the plugin anyway.

My suggestion for a fix is to update gkrellmms to x86.

I set the ~x86 keyword for gkrellmms and have been running 2.1.20 for about a day now with no problems.

Reproducible: Always
