please find attached up2date ebuilds of the giFT p2p client and the giFTcurs
frontend which supports the latest protocol.

I updated giFTcurs since the version of gift in the tree does not work with the
version of giFT in the tree.  We're in a feature freeze, though, so I don't want
to do any more updates until after the freeze.

this version of giFTcurs doesn't seem to work with the supplied gift version.
maybe we need a newer giFT version?

The versions in portage right now work together for me.  Nonetheless, we're not
updating any packages right now until 1.4 is released--bugfixes only.  I will
see about syncing giFT and giFTcurs as soon as the release is done.

Hello,
for all of you having problems with the latest giFTcurs in portage (0.5.1) you 
should update to 0.5.2 cause this takes care of giFT's new interface protocol. 
Just rename "giftcurs-0.5.1.ebuild" to "giftcurs-0.5.2.ebuild". Sometimes it's 
also a good idea to download giFT sources directly via cvs and make your own 
tarball out of it.

Someone else has been updating giFT itself, and I just bumped giFTcurs to 0.5.2
to fix the aforementioned problems.  Thanks, folks.  Closing and marking FIXED.
