Description Gour 2004-11-17 07:30:40 UTC
Hi!

Pybliogrypher works nicely on amd64.

Please add ~amd64 to keywords for dev-python/python-bibtex-1.2.1 and app-office/pybliographer-1.2.4.

Sincerely,
Gour

For such an request, `emerge info` is not needed. But please add one bug per package.
Comment 2 Gour 2004-11-17 22:45:34 UTC
Hi!

> For such an request, `emerge info` is not needed.

OK. Thank you for pointing out. I thought it's useful for knowing in which circumstances ebuild emerges.

> But please add one bug per package.

I saw a #67760, and thought ... :-(

Will never do it again :-)

Sincerely,
Gour
Comment 3 Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-18 03:51:18 UTC
@ carlo:
i disagree, it's always good to provide a emerge info as it might not compile here (because e.g. gcc-3.4). with a emerge info it's easier to find the cause of that.

@ Gour: you probably want to have a look at http://tinyurl.com/5yjrg, it's really nice ;)

So far I tried to follow it, but with this bug I simply screwed up :-(

Gour

Add ~amd64 to both ebuilds, no -r1 required, I guess.
Comment 7 Carolina Feher 2005-03-28 08:57:09 UTC
It didn't install one of the dependencies for me:

$ pybliographic
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/pybliographer", line 168, in ?
    execfile (filename, user_global)
  File "/usr/share/pybliographer/pybliographic.py", line 25, in ?
    from Pyblio.GnomeUI.Pybliographic import Pybliographic
  File "/usr/share/pybliographer/Pyblio/GnomeUI/__init__.py", line 53, in ?
    import gtk.glade
ImportError: No module named glade

What package do I have to emerge?

# emerge info

Hi!

Here it installs cleanly.

unclepine gives the following deps:

app-office/pybliographer-1.2.4
HAS THESE DEPENDENCIES:
        * app-text/recode-3.6-r1
        * dev-lang/python-2.3.5 (S)
        * dev-libs/glib-2.6.3 (WS)
        * dev-python/gnome-python-2.6.1 (W)
        * dev-python/python-bibtex-1.2.1
        * sys-apps/sed-4.1.4 (S)
        * sys-devel/patch-2.5.9-r1 (S)

although it looks you're missing libglade.

Try emerging libglade.

Sincerely,
Gour

Sincerely,
Gour
Comment 9 Carolina Feher 2005-03-31 11:17:50 UTC
I have libglade. I'm going to reemerge it.
Comment 10 Carolina Feher 2005-03-31 12:24:59 UTC
No, I'm still getting the same error message.
Comment 11 Gour 2005-03-31 23:00:14 UTC
<quote>No, I'm still getting the same error message.</quote>

Oops..you're right. It looks something changed in the setup and broke pybliographer.

I'll investigate the issue.

Sincerely,
Gour

python-bibtex-1.2.1 and pybliographer-1.2.4 compile and run as expected here. For reference the libglade error is more than likely due to bug 76791.
