there's a new stable release 0.16.1 of argouml at tigris.org. I simply copied the 0.16 ebuild over and it worked. I also changed the dependecy in the ebuild to depend on jre >= 1.3 instead of 1.2, because that's the requirement for argouml on http://argouml.tigris.org/documentation/defaulthtml/quick-guide/ch02.html#d0e98.
