Description Daniel Kenzelmann 2004-11-15 01:39:23 UTC
When starting an application via a launcher from gnome-panel (gnome-terminal in the example URL), an increasing rectangle is drawn on the screen. But there are these leftovers (which get overdrawn by any other window (just moving gnome-terminal over those lines makes them go away (but only there where a redraw is made)))

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch application from launcher in gnome-panel
2. see launcher animation (rectangles)
3. vertical lines are left on screen

Example of line on desktop

This is an example for that bug.
Comment 2 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-15 09:55:33 UTC
not having composite enabled ?

CFLAGS="-O5" ? What's that good for...
Comment 3 Daniel Kenzelmann 2004-11-15 10:33:06 UTC
-O5 for gcc is the same as -O3 but i planned to use Intel Compiler sometimes ... and that is some leftover thereof ... doesn't harm anything...

The Lines are visible whether Composite enabled in xorg.conf or not (default for me: not)

Comment 4 Daniel Kenzelmann 2004-12-06 06:05:07 UTC
Seems to be fixed with 2.8.2
