With Venus, there was an RSS feed at https://planet.gentoo.org/rss20.xml which republished all articles on the Planet instance (and which I use in my RSS reader). With Pluto, this URL is a 404, and I cannot see any link on https://planet.gentoo.org/ to where it may be found now. Is this functionality not available in Pluto? Reproducible: Always
There are two feed URLs in the document <head> - https://planet.gentoo.org/universe/rss20.xml and https://planet.gentoo.org/universe/atom.xml - that are both 404s. So it's supposed to be available, but broken.
*** Bug 711938 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
The feeds got lost during the migration from Venus to Pluto as Pluto doesn't support feeds by default. I've just created them manually in the planet-tyrian template and they should be available again at: https://planet.gentoo.org/rss20.xml https://planet.gentoo.org/atom.xml https://planet.gentoo.org/universe/rss20.xml https://planet.gentoo.org/universe/atom.xml The atom feeds don't seem to be valid. However the old Venus atom feeds were neither valid, so this is a more general problem, which might be tackled later. For now, everything should work the same way as it did back then. I will leave this bug open for some time to see whether everything is indeed working correctly again.
Just fixed the atom feeds. They should be valid now as well and the html content should get displayed correctly. Might take some time to update due to the CDN caching though.
The new atom feed works for me now. It's missing the tagging info that the old one had, but that's a minor nitpick.
I will take a look at the tagging information in future and might also add some further opml and foaf feeds as well. But for now I am going to close this bug, as the RSS feeds seem to be working correctly again.
