Please try upgrading to a more recent version of blackdown. You fail to specify which hardware arch you are having problems on, but it appears to be x86.

If you have grsecurity enabled, or a 2.6.7, 2.6.8-rc1 or 2.6.8-rc2 development-sources kernel, you need to switch kernels.

Signal 11 is also typical of a hardware memory error in your box. Consider clocking it down if you are overclocking.

Furthermore, -fomit-frame-pointer generally prohibits us from debugging your problems, as we don't get proper information in the stack traces. There is little if any performance benefit to be had from -fomit-frame-pointer, and it bars debugging, so please consider recompiling your entire system without this flag.

If the problem persists after trying these suggestions, reopen the bug with a compilete list of installed packages (equery list).

Comment 2 Karl Trygve Kalleberg (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-18 08:15:03 UTC
Also, I'd upgrade the kernel just to be certain. I'd not be surprised if 2.6.7-mm6 has inherited the bugs from Linus' 2.6.7 tree which breaks all java VMs.
