Independent of bug 707076 and the backend that might be used for planet.g.o in future. What do you think about a slightly modify new theme?

Actually, I haven't implemented anything yet. The screenshots just show a first mock-up that might be used with either Venus or Pluto.

I just wanted to see, what you think of the draft at all.

In my opinion, bootstrap-like sidebar is confusing unless those items actually filter feeds rather than going to blog.  For this reason, I suppose contributors subpage makes more sense.

OTOH, I don't really like the idea of making text wider.  Maybe there's some other way to make it narrower, e.g. by moving the post metadata to the side of the text?

E.g. something like:

I think that would be similar to http://fedoraplanet.org/

I will try to add another screenshot for something like that as well.
