Description Carsten Milkau 2004-11-10 13:03:56 UTC
When trying to upgrade dev-util/dialog from version 0.9_beta20031002 to 1.0.20040731, configure complains about being unable to link to ncursesw library. Seems like a typo to me, I dont know such a library. I will file the output of "emerge -u dev-util/dialog" and "emerge info" in attachments.

Christmas this year:o)

I changed the {ncursesw} to {ncurses} and it worked fine after this, it does look like a typo.
Comment 5 Olivier Crete (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-12 09:15:55 UTC
ncursesw is for unicode (Wide chars).. you probably are trying to compile dialog with the unicode use flag.. but you compiled your ncurses without.. So you can either remove the unicode use flag or recompile ncurses with it... If that does not solve the problem.. please re-open it.
