I goofed a couple of small details in the 3.0.8 release. (a) the docs are the ones from 3.0.8pre2. The latest docs ~ build can be downloaded from ~ http://samba.org/~samba-bugs/docs/samba-docs-latest.tar.bz2 ~ Just unpack this archives and move the contents into ~ samba-3.0.8/docs/ (b) for some reason a large majority of the files are don't ~ include group/other read access. Just making you aware ~ of it (thanks to Buchan @ Mandrake for making me aware ~ of the issue. I don't see where this warrants the bandwidth required for another release. point (b) is fixed in samba-3.0.8-r1. point (a): I'd prefer not downloading a version-less doc tarball, and since (1) version 3.0.9 should come in a week and (2) the differences in docs from 3.0.8_pre2 and 3.0.8 aren't so big, I'm leaving the old docs in place. If I've understimated the differences, please reopen ;-)
