This broke some packages (as already reported). For me x11-wm/awesome depends on cairo[xcb] and now is broken. Please revert those changes and apply them to a ~arch keyworded new revision - cairo-1.16.0-r4.
It wouldn't make sense to drop keywords for that. Simple revbump for revdeps would be enough.
