Description Ketil Malde 2004-11-09 02:50:47 UTC
Upgrading to 2.6.9-r1 from 2.6.3-r1 seems to have broken the (oss) maestro3 driver, and I now only get noise from my Dell Latitude. I've looked over my .config to see if it's something I've done, as nobody else seems to have this problem, but without experiencing enlightenment.

Posting the relevant section of your .config would help very much. And is there a reason why you're using the OSS driver instead of the ALSA driver?

maestro3 (ALSA) definately works in 2.6.9. My laptop has this chip.

Also, file this at bugzilla.kernel.org, not here, as we didn't
do anything with this driver in the g-d-s package.

Okay, thanks to all who replied.

Just thought I'd mention that I upgraded to the ALSA driver, and it seems to be working nicely (previous attempts at ALSA with SB live! have been less fortunate, so I've stuck with OSS until now, since it has just worked).
