Description Andreas Kobara 2004-11-08 08:36:16 UTC
The libwhisker-2.1 ebuild tries to install a non-existing module,
further it provides a compatibility module to old version 1.

Comment 2 Michael Crawford (ali3nx) 2004-12-25 12:44:21 UTC
libwhisker's webserver no longer denies wget User-Agent headers it would appear. Possibly this ebuild could be modifies to remove the fetchonly restriction.

!!! libwhisker2-current.tar.gz not found in /usr/portage/distfiles

!!! net-libs/libwhisker-2.1 has fetch restriction turned on.
!!! This probably means that this ebuild's files must be downloaded
!!! manually. See the comments in the ebuild for more information.

 * Could not find the libwhisker tarball!
 * It could not be fetched normally because http://www.wiretrip.net
 * denies the wget User-Agent header.
 * You can find this library in:

Comment 5 Michael Cummings (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-31 04:20:14 UTC
I'll contact the author again. When initially added to the tree, he asked that we not mirror his package.
Comment 6 Michael Cummings (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-31 04:31:14 UTC
Email sent to the author. Will post any feedback. Believe me, I'd love to remove the mirror restriction on this one,

mike
Comment 7 Michael Cummings (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-13 12:36:40 UTC
RFP has dropped his fetch restrictions on this library and they have been removed from the active ebuild.
