When asking for help on IRC I mentioned outdated Wiki pages, e.g. --with-bdeps being default for over one year. Suggestion of users there was to search it in the Wiki and fix it on all pages. So I performed the search and got 0 results for with-bdeps and [04333e2061e6cf515d05c5e2] 2020-01-02 21:54:16: Fatal exception of type "Wikimedia\Rdbms\DBQueryError" for https://wiki.gentoo.org/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&search=--with-bdeps&go=Go. I'd even volunteer as a Wiki admin if this helps.
Still valid/ no change.
I do believe you can search the wiki for this string by using double quotes to perform the search, like this: "--with-bdeps" Searching the dash ("-") characters without the quotes will indeed yield a issue, however this is a limitation of the MediaWiki backend; it is not something we (the Gentoo wiki team) can fix at this time. See the link provided by Brian Evans for more information. Perhaps this will be fixed in a later release of MediaWiki? Please try searching with double with double quotes when attempting to search for options/arguments to commands. Also - Did a quick search and I can't find any wiki pages with outdated "--with-bdeps". Perhaps you can fix them as you find them?
