Whenever i want do something webrelated from within Abiword, i get "/usr/bin/mozilla: can't find the browser :-(" on the console. Appearantly Abiword doesn't like the mozilla-launcher script? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start abiword from a console 2. Right click on a word in a document 3. Choose (for example) Google Search Actual Results: Firefox isn't launched. Expected Results: Abiword should use the mozilla-launcher script transparantly to launch Firefox.
Please post output of the following three commands. You might need to emerge epm. $ emerge --info (always include in bug reports please) $ epm -qa | grep moz | sort $ epm -qa | grep moz | xargs epm -V | grep -e -bin When mozilla-launcher gives the message that you're reporting, it means that it can't find mozilla installed on your system. That's why I'm requesting the output of the above commands. (Note it's possible that the third command won't return any output)

The GNOME version of AbiWord launches the default gnome browser. The GTK version of AbiWord launches $BROWSER if set, a set of hardcoded other browsers otherwhise.
so would it be an option to set BROWSER to the mozilla launcher script ? Although that might not be correct for say opera users.
would it be an idea to set BROWSER when installing browsers ? I'm not sure how wellspread the use of this env var is ...
