hp-setup-3.18.12

Hello,
I have found an issue on the hplip-3.19.11.

Basically it didn't detect the network printer with hp-setup, while you can print with plain cups.

After trying a lot a things I tryed to go back to the 3.18.12,
and this version works just fine (detect, print, scan).

I have attached the log from the two versions, I think the problem is in the upstream but I am not sure at least I didn't see hplip try to connect with tcpdump.

I will check the upstream if I can see a bug or something.

- 3.18.12 work
- 3.19.6 work
- 3.19.8 work
- 3.19.11 not working

I can not reproduce this issue. It works fine for me with hplip-3.19.11.

I just added hplip-3.19.12. Can you try if it works again?

Hello and thank you for the reply,
maybe it is my system but I tested with other machine and can reproduce.

I tested the new version, hplip-3.19.12 it works and retest again with the hplip-3.19.11 the issue is still here.

My process of testing:

- emerge -av1 "=net-print/hplip-3.19.11"
- hp-setup -r (delete your printer)
- hp-setup (try to detect a network printer)

At least the newer version seems to fix the issue, but it still need hplip-plugin to be able to scan.
