When i try to emerge Kismet-2004.04.1-r1 without the "ethereal" USE-flag it works, but i i try the same thing with the "ethereal" flag on it crashes. It is possible to fix this by first emerging glib. But glib isn't directly or indirectly a dependency of Kismet. I think it can be fixed if someone would include "dev-libs/glib" in the dependencies of kismet. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Could you please see if the problem exists with net-wireless/kismet-2004.10.1?
I can confirm that 2004.10.1 version fixes problem with ethereal USE flag for kismet. I had similar issue, with missing dependency on ethereal.
Ok, net-wireless/kismet-2004.10.1 is now marked x86. Closing as FIXED.
