Icecast v2.1 was released today. Please bump the version in portage. Thanks! -shank Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
This is package.masked in cvs however, due to what I consider a large code re-write by upstream, I'd like to get all the arches to re-mark this package (which is why it's package.masked for now). As it's a small package, it shouldn't take too long for that to happen. But: ~ppc ~sparc ~alpha ~amd64 ~ppc64 is what needs to be done. Once that's done I'll close this bug and remove the package.mask.
Done for sparc: ~sparc keyword added to icecast-2.1.0-ebuild. Package builds with no problem, and in a version comparison, seems to run the same way as 2.0.2. I cannot test it further, however. So, ~sparc means that it builds and appears the same as previous ~sparc versions.
Added ~ppc keyword Suggestions: - add a user icecast and modify the changeowner directive in the config file /etc/icecast2/icecast.xml - use icecast -b rather than start-stop-daemon --background. This will cause the init script to stop if there are config file errors. - Change the log directory to /var/log/icecast (owned by the icecast user) and set the logdir directive in the log file. - randomize password in the config file and/or place a big ugly warning at the end of the install
~amd64
tested and added ~ppc64 to KEYWORDS
Alpha done.
For what it's worth I use it for hours/day and it's been nothing but dependable. Thanks.
Removed from package.mask; In CVS.
