See this topic on the forums: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=217616&highlight=tktablematrix Basically, the epatch line in the ebuild needs to be uncommented, otherwise the ebuild fails to work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge dev-perl/Tk-TableMatrix-1.1 Actual Results: Fails to build, unable to satisfy a dependency within the package Expected Results: Shouldn't have dependency problems within the package... but this is allegedly fixed via a patch that exists in portage $ emerge info Portage 2.0.51-r2 (default-linux/x86/2004.0, gcc-3.3.4, glibc-2.3.4.20040808-r1, 2.6.8-gentoo-r3 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.8-gentoo-r3 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.60GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 ccache version 2.3 [enabled] Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.59-r5 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.8.5-r1 Binutils: sys-devel/binutils-2.14.90.0.8-r1 Headers: sys-kernel/linux26-headers-2.6.8.1 Libtools: sys-devel/libtool-1.5.2-r5 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -msse -mmmx -msse2 -mfpmath=sse" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/mozilla/defaults/pref /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control"CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -msse -mmmx -msse2 -mfpmath=sse" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs candy ccache distlocks moo sandbox sfperms userpriv usersandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://gentoo.mirrors.pair.com/ http://adelie.polymtl.ca/ ftp://ftp.ussg.iu.edu/pub/linux/gentoo ftp://ftp.gtlib.cc.gatech.edu/pub/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j3" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage /usr/local/overlays/bmg-main.alternative" SYNC="rsync://rsync.namerica.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="S3TC X X509 Xaw3d aac aalib acl acpi acpi4linux adns alsa amd apache2 apm artworkextra audiofile avi berkdb bidi bitmap-fonts bonobo caps cdparanoia cdr cdrom chroot cjk crypt cups curl dedicated directfb divx4linux dnd doc droproot dvd dvdread edl eds emacs emacs-w3 encode esd ethereal evo f77 faad fam fbcon flac foomaticdb gatos gcj gd gdbm ggi gif gimpprint gnome gnomedb gphoto2 gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 gtkhtml guile hal howl idea imagemagick imap imlib innodb java javamail javascript jce jikes jpeg junit jython ldap libcaca libg++ libwww live lzo mad maildir matroska mbox mikmod mmx mmx2 mng motif mozcalendar mozdevelop mozilla moznoirc moznomail mozsvg mpeg mpeg4 mule music mysql mythtv nas ncurses neXt network nls nntp no-old-linux no_wxgtk1 objc offensive oggvorbis opengl oss pam parse-clocks passfile pcap pda pdflib perl php plotutils png ppds python quicktime readline real rtc ruby samba sasl sdk sdl silc silverxp skey slang slp speex spell sqlite sse sse2 ssl stencil-buffer svga tcltk tcpd tetex tga theora tiff transcode truetype unicode usb vhosts videos vim-with-x virus-scan vnc wmf x86 xchattext xml xml2 xmms xosd xprint xv xvid zlib zvbi video_cards_radeon"
Is actually maintaining this package??? This bug is clearly reproducable, fails everytime, can be fixed just by commenting something in. What else is necessary for a 1 minute fix?
hmm..the word "someone" is missing in my last comment...try to find the correct position...
patch uncommented; not sure if i missed someone else commenting on this or if you were the first to post a bug on it; enjoy
