Hello, Sorry my bad English. It is not possible to make a hot button on Colors/Invert. In the hotkey editor, these items are not visible, even through search. In other places shows, and these ignores. Reproducible: Always
I installed gimp-2.10.8-r1 and can't reproduce this issue. I see "Color/Invert" action in "Edit" -> "Keyboard Shortcuts" -> "Filters" -> "Invert" (searching here word Invert works too). I'm able to assign shortcut for this action, e.g. "shift+i", and it's works also after program restart. Could you recheck this?

I read the linked forum conversation and don't see the problem except the fact that in "Keyboard shortcut" preferences the "Invert" ("Nonlinear Invert" in russian menu translation) is under "Filter" group. The setup shortcut works as expected and appropriate hint is displayed under "Color" menu for "Invert" action. "Invert" shortcut is setup as I described above. Why this and other "Color" actions isn't under "Color" group in "Keyboard shortcuts" preferences is another question. On the other hand all "Color" operations are actually "Filter" operations and just grouped in main menu as "Color" for access convenience. As I observe the hotkey for mentioned action is setup and work properly. - Я прочитал обсуждение на форуме по ссылке и не вижу проблемы за исключением того, что в настройках сочетаний клавиш операция "Инвертирование" ("Нелинейное Инвертирование" в русской локализации) находится в группе "Фильтры". Настроенное сочетание клавиш работает так, как ожидается и соответствующая подсказка отображается в меню "Цвет" для операции "Нелинейное Инвертирование". Сочетание клавиш для данного действия настраивается так, как я описал в предыдущем сообщении выше. Почему эта и другие операции с "Цветом" сгруппированы в настройках сочетаний клавиш как "Фильтры" - другой вопрос. С другой стороны, всё операции раздела "Цвет" на самом деле являются "Фильтрами" и просто сгруппированы в главном меню "Цвет" для удобства доступа. Насколько я вижу, сочетание клавиш для упомянутого действия настраивается и работает правильно.
All I can make is create upstream bug about confusing grouping in "Keyboard shortcut" preferences. -- Всё что я могу сделать с этим - сообщить разработчикам о "сбивающей с толку" группировкой в настройках сочетаний клавиш.
