After upgrading the rocm stack from 2.7 to version 2.9, opencl applications exit abnormally with an assertion failure in llvm-roc. The 2.7 rocm stack did not exhibit this behaviour. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install the 2.9 rocm stack 2. execute an opencl application (e.g., ``clinfo``).
