If the summary is not enough clear:

nginx-unit works with go/nodejs/java applications. To work with them the relative support should be enabled in the via configure, please add the relative IUSE to control the support of go/nodejs/java.
Comment 4 Ralph Seichter 2019-10-10 14:43:24 UTC
NGINX-Unit only works with a language X if a support module for X was configured and included, as can be seen e.g. for Python or PHP in the existing ebuild. Support for new languages has been added in recent versions, but adding a USE flag is not enough. Each language module has its own peculiarities.

This is a feature request that requires work for which I don't currently have the time, so I cannot give an estimate when support for Go et al will become available.
Comment 5 Ralph Seichter 2020-02-22 20:33:27 UTC
Since I don't use applications written in any of the three languages with NGINX Unit, I won't work on this issue for the forseeable future. I am therefore closing this bug for now, possibly to be reopened later.

Ralph, if you can't work on a bug, there is no problem, but the bug should remain opened.

The status of a bug does not depend on the maintainer time, instead it reflects the status of itself.

Well, this is not a bug (as in "error"), but a feature request. I want to clearly document that I don't plan on adding support for additional languages. I have seen Bugzilla issues before that have been closed with a "reopen later" notice, and as long as the issue is assigned to me, I can decide to close it.
