Sent by Simon Vuille: """ http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-ppc.xml?part=1&chap=2 Since a lot of people will be downloading the .iso from the os X side, it would be good to add burning instructions for os X, since I'm unaware of cdrecord or k3b being available for this OS. Isos can be burnt using the disk utility that comes with os X, or any commercial soft like toast. Good job on the documention though, cheers """ iirc, this is in an architecture-specific part so shouldn't be a real problem.
I know we had such instructions once. First in the FAQ, then in the Installation-Instructions. Probably they became deleted when the first type of the Handbook was created without platform-specific pages.
They're still in the FAQ at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/faq.xml#isoburning I've removed the "others" back when the Handbook was still all-in-one because the MacOS instructions changed a few times with every MacOS release. It's not a biggie to include them in the PPC handbook again.
Fixed in CVS.
