i have AMD Duron 1000, i've tried to install gentoo from stage1, 
but i cant, so i've untar stage2-i686 from 2004.2 livecd, chroot, emerge -- sync,
emerge system. results are in log (i got segmentation fault in gawk)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.burn livecd 2004.2 universal, make partitions, mount them, 
2.untar stage2-i686 from cd, emerge --sync
3.emerge system

Actual Results:  
cant emerge system , compilation of gawk is interupted


i can show you my /proc/cpuinfo, emerge --info, and so on

i am sorry... 
i think it was my fault. i ran memtest86, and i got soem errors. now its OK, cuz i've  changed some features in bios.
