Sry, but I cannot post are complete error message due to local problems for now. I hope I will be able to the next days, if needed at all.

I used the latest stable versions of everything.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge gentoo-dev-sources
2. enable highmemory support
3. make

Actual Results:  
Error in the final linking process at the very end.

mm/built-in.o <some stuff here> truncated reference <some stuff here>

Expected Results:  
Clean linking process

Works for me (2.6.9-gentoo-r4). Please post your .config and the exact error message so that we can investigate.

Sorry for this bug, I do not have the time to do this testing at the moment, because of certain circumstances...I'll do so as fast as i can.
