Do we really need a maintainer for this package?
The most recent update for the upstream package (https://people.redhat.com/~heinzm/sw/dmraid/) appears to be from 2009.

Maybe the package should be considered obsolete?
But the the genkernel team should be involved, because the initscript in the initramfs image depends somewhat on it.  (in the start_volumes() function)
But vgchanged -aay does activate raid sets as well, if I'm correct, so dmraid is probably not required anyway.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here.
