Description Mathy Vanvoorden 2019-09-12 07:32:19 UTC
Hi,

I'm currently having an issue when doing an update of a system, dependencies fail on the asciidoc package (although I'm not sure it is package specific):

!!! The ebuild selected to satisfy ">=app-text/asciidoc-8.6.0" has unmet requirements.
- app-text/asciidoc-8.6.10_p20181016::gentoo USE="-examples -graphviz -highlight -test" PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET="(-pypy3) -python3_5 -python3_6 (-python3_7)" PYTHON_TARGETS="python3_6 (-pypy3) -python3_5 (-python3_7)"

  The following REQUIRED_USE flag constraints are unsatisfied:
    exactly-one-of ( python_single_target_pypy3 python_single_target_python3_5 python_single_target_python3_6 python_single_target_python3_7 )

  The above constraints are a subset of the following complete expression:
    exactly-one-of ( python_single_target_pypy3 python_single_target_python3_5 python_single_target_python3_6 python_single_target_python3_7 ) python_single_target_pypy3? ( python_targets_pypy3 ) python_single_target_python3_5? ( python_targets_python3_5 ) python_single_target_python3_6? ( python_targets_python3_6 ) python_single_target_python3_7? ( python_targets_python3_7 )

The correct PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET is in make.conf, I triple-checked.

If I manually specify USE=python_single_target_python3_6 on the command-line, emerge also works fine.

I found it very strange that I got this error since I have asciidoc installed on all my systems as it is a dependency for docker. The only difference I found was they all are multilib systems except this one which uses the default/linux/amd64/17.1/no-multilib profile.

As a test I switched the profile to default/linux/amd64/17.1/desktop/plasma and then for sure the issue was gone.

I'm not sure when the problem was introduced as this system isn't updated that often, but I'm sure it is also present with the 17.0 profile, I tried the profile update in the hope it would resolve the issue.

I tried to find the issue myself in the profiles but did not get anywhere.

My emerge --info

There is no anything masked. Your python targets are not in sync and portage clearly reports so.

Can you explain to me what is wrong / out of sync because I can't find it? Will an emerge -e world help?
