Greetings, There is a Gentoo server in Discord that the Finalizing page doesn't seem to mention. Some Gentoo developers maintain this server, and they and the community help out each other. It would be amazing if you would add the server's link in the page because I have been helped by a lot of awesome people, and so did others. Finalizing page that doesn't mention the server: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Handbook:AMD64/Installation/Finalizing Gentoo Linux link: https://discordapp.com/invite/gentoo Thank you. -TheEvilSkeleton

I probably picked the wrong Component, but in light of the gentoo-dev@ discussion, whether to include that Discord service in official media looks like it's a discussion for the Gentoo Foundation (or should be deferred to the Gentoo Council).
They pulled me in last night to talk. IMO (and I mentioned it to them last night as well), The Discord instance is currently moderated by non-gentoo users. While developers that join are given moderator rights I don't think it's used much (I know I tend to stick to IRC). Because of this, I'd consider the Discord instance an unofficial group (as per the name/logo usage guidelines). They do still have to follow the CoC (as per the name/logo usage guidelines), but atm they are not under the official auspices of Comrel / Proctors.
The board voted on this and the motion failed, sorry. We will produce more clarity on what an official Gentoo communication medium is; hopefully that will help make forward progress here. -A
