Description Andrey 2019-09-02 00:58:38 UTC
People can donate to numerous organizations through AmazonSmile.
(0.5% of each purchase -- not much, but all the time)
However, there's currently no way to donate to Gentoo Foundation via AmazonSmile.

It would be really nice if Gentoo Foundation enrolls into AmazonSmile as a charitable organization.

Reproducible: Always

Read the fine print of AmazonSmile:
- Organizations must be registered and in good standing with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) to be eligible to participate. ... Organizations must be public charitable organizations (not private foundations) and may not be supporting organizations, unless identified specifically as a Type I, Type II, or functionally integrated Type III supporting organization ...

The Foundation is nominally a 501(c)(6) with ongoing filing requirements to the IRS, which does meet the requirement of being a 501(c)(3) entity.

Ouch, ok.
Anyway, thanks for taking a look!
