The l7-filter patch has a known bug with 2.6.9 kernels. Due to changes in ip_conntrack_standal changes to the patch were required. There is a new patch version at http://www.cus.org.uk/~barberio/tmp/kernel-2.6.9+-layer7-0.9.1.patch.gz Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Merge ebuild with /usr/src/linux set to a 2.6.9 kernel
Created attachment 42809 [details] New patch file specificaly for the 2.6.9 kernel
The l7-filter ebuild uses the kmod.eclass which is obsolete and may be removed soon from the tree. Do you think we should tell the user to patch or convert the ebuild to kernel-mod.eclass?
I'm keen on a transition to the new eclass. Related bugs that need fixing bug 69279 bug 65770
The 'new' patch included now fails with the recent revision to the kernel. And requires setting the fuzz to 3. It then works and builds a functional kernel. Note, this is *not* a patch to the ebuild, but a patch to the kernel. I have no experience in making ebuilds.
fixed finally. Sorry it took so long.
