In Gnome, AbiWord and Gnumeric are both part of Gnome Office and therefore both, according to the people at #gnome on irc.gnome.org, should be located in "Office" under the Gnome menu instead of Gnumeric being located under "Office" and AbiWord located under "Other".

might be helpful to mention this to the abiword people irc.gnome.org #abiword usually lots people around midweek alternatively you might report this on the abiword developer mailing list or in Abiwords bugzilla http://bugzilla.abisource.com

well fair enough to close it but i would strongly suggest that you check this is fixed or file a bug in Abiword bugzilla http://buzilla.abisource.com before marking this as verified. I am currently unemployed and busy there are a whole lot of other bugs i filed that i should be verifying, so please dont suggest that i should do it myself.
