Alexander, If the ftp server is internal, and therefore not reachable by external users, then I cannot add it to our list. as for rsync: rsync.gentoo.org.ua i get no response. rsync2.gentoo.org.ua seems to be a bit old on the sync. rsync2 looks still about 5 hours old, where as rsync (with no number) gets connection refused. closing as UPSTREAM. please reopen if you wish to become a mirror and get that straightened out.

Both distfiles and rsync look okay, I'll check a couple of more times before adding you in. Would be nice to have information regarding the server specs as well as the admin contact and how many users you plan to support on the rsync server? I think the problem here is just an unfortunate sequence of events; Assume that: * 00:00:00 -- ftp.belnet.be syncs off masterdistfiles * 03:30:00 -- ftp.gentoo.org.ua syncs off Belnet Already the information is >3 hours out of date :) By the time your mirror comes around to sync'ing again it'll be almost 8 hours out of date!! This also assumes that Belnet are sync'ing off masterdistfiles.gentoo.org and aren't going through someone like iBiblio. There seems to have been quite a delay on this bug, and I've just joined the Infrastructure team to assist with mirrors; could you confirm you're still interested in mirroring Gentoo and if so, I'll get some movement on this?
