Description Atte Hinkka 2004-10-27 11:21:18 UTC
When I try to emerge gnunet libextractor has to be emerged first. However, libextractor fails to emerge ending in a gcc error of some sort.

The last two lines of compile:
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../../src/include -I../../../src/include -fno-strict-aliasing -O2 -mcpu=i686 -fomit-frame-pointer -MT no.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/no.Tpo -c no.c -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/no.o
gcc: Internal error: Killed (program cc1)

And then it continues with stuff about how to report a bug and exits directories. Unfortunately my knowledge of the workings of gcc and automake are is too poor to give any aid in finding the bug. I have no idea why it isn't working. Could be due to missing source files?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge gnunet (same with emerge libextractor)
Actual Results:
!!! ERROR: media-libs/libextractor-0.3.5 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 22, Exitcode 2
!!! compile failed

Expected Results:
It should have been installed.

lv, here's another one of those internal compiler errors I'd like you to take a look at. I don't see anything wrong with libextractor :-\.

Atte: could you please run memtest86 and tell me if it finds anything wrong? I have only seen this happen on machines with bad memory so far, so just a thought...

I'm marking this as a hardware error- that is normally what causes gcc internal errors.
