could you please try shw-plugins-0.4.11? This works like a charm on my amd64 box.
eradicator, could you please keyword media-plugins/swh-plugins-0.4.11 stable on amd64? That version is working OK for me, no bugs reported over the last 2 weeks, and most important, it fixes a problem with the old stable one.
