The configuration file is empty, instead of complete kernel configuration set (config.old). NOTE: If I load a proper configuration, without changing it, then the configuration is properly saved. As soon as one or several option are changed, menuconfig is saving empty configuration. NOTE: This is genkernel independant. As just running menuconfig is having the same problem. NOTE: This is 100% reproducible on my configuration.

Please clarify: Do you only experience the problem when calling menuconfig through genkernel-next or does this also happen when you do cd <path-to-you-kernel-sources> make menuconfig <make some changes> <Select SAVE from menu> ?
