The patch at the above URL adds support for new Hoppage tuners (one of which I own). It was comitted to 2.6.10-rc1, so it shouldn't be much of a problem. ChangeLog entry for 2.6.10-rc1: <kraxel@bytesex.org> [PATCH] v4l: tuner update This is a update for the analog tv tuner module, it adds support for two new tuner chips. Can you attach the whole patch here for us to use/look at in a format that we can use to apply to the tree?
Created attachment 42652 [details, diff] tuner.patch Patch *does not* apply cleanly to g-d-s-2.6.9; however, I just tested it and it works fine.
Actually, I spoke too soon. It isn't working, I just get static. :( I'll try to see if i can get this to work easily, if not I'll just close the bug and patch manually.
Created attachment 42655 [details, diff] i2c-tuner Ok, this patch applys cleanly and works. It came straight from the video4linux kernel patches at: http://dl.bytesex.org/patches/
Sorry, rather than adding another feature patch to our set I'd rather let this slip in when 2.6.10 comes around. I hope its not too inconvenient for you to patch manually for now.
