Comment 1 Stahl Sau 2004-10-26 02:55:39 UTC
Hi,
when trying to start tuxkart it only opens it´s window for a millisecond and spits out:
"Speicherzugriffsfehler" (which is german for "segmentation fault")
and then there was silence...
Same when called as root, or from self-compiled package...
glxgears runs, so does every other opengl-app.

sry to bother you guys

Comment 2 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-20 00:46:11 UTC
it looks like you're trying to run it from the current directory. Try merging it and run it from /usr/games/bin like the rest of the games please.

Reopen this bug with the results of this. Thanks.

Comment 4 Stahl Sau 2004-11-20 02:05:33 UTC
hi,
nope, i´ve tried everything possible. It always segfaulted on me, no matter what i did: compile from source, emerge, from directory, "normal", rebuild all sdl-thingies, always segfault.
In the meantime i resolved it coincidentially by an remerge of my whole world.
Dunno why this error dissappeared, i did nothing special. Well, it´s gone.
Comment 5 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-20 02:19:44 UTC
Ok, I'll mark it fixed then.
