In tree since mid-April. No outstanding bugs. Python 3 support very desirable. Okay to stabilize? Cc arches if so.

Alright, upstream bug tracker looks OK, and there are no open bugs here, so I think you can go ahead. Thanks in advance!

What kind of runtime testing would you like to see?

Good that you asked, because I was, in fact, confused about the meaning of that flag. But it turns out that it's correct, because AFAICS the asciidoc test suite is useless for one-off runs (the expected and test output are both generated on-the-fly, i.e., there is no pre-generated expected output). Guess I'll be investigating that some more when I have more time...

So to answer your question: I think you should either try building the example website included with the sources (which I never tried), or emerging a package that uses asciidoc to build its documentation, such as sys-fs/btrfs-progs[doc], and verifying the result (which is what I do on my amd64 systems).
