each time there is an accent it's the same for at least éèàù

I think it's an UTF-8 problem

I placed UTF-8 German characters (eg. öäü) in my menus, and got them to work fine with 0.90.0. I then tested with 0.80.0 on another machine, and they did not work (as I expected). Could this possibly be a problem with the font used for your theme?

I have the same problem with German umlauts (äüöß) in the menu. However, I use LANG="de_DE@euro" in my .xession. I can enter menu names that contain umlauts in WPrefs but the specials chars don't show. Additionally, after upgrading from 0.80.0 to 0.91.0-r1, all menu items that contained umlauts were garbled:

"Ausführen"
became
"Ausf"

So, I'm finally getting to this bug, and I can display 1 "special" character,
but more than that seems to break the menus, as has been described here.

I'll see if I can get answers from upstream about this.
