Hi, I see the /dev/cdrom scripts in the udev tarball but I dont see them when I emerge it in my gentoo system. Neither is there a /dev/cdrom. Can you please also make it working for Gentoo?

Please apply the patch and then it is your decision whether you want to make it default by adding BUS="ide", KERNEL="hd[a-z]", PROGRAM="/etc/udev/scripts/cdsymlinks.sh %k", SYMLINK="%c{1} %c{2} %c{3} %c{4} %c{5} %c{6}" BUS="scsi", KERNEL="sr[0-9]*", PROGRAM="/etc/udev/scripts/cdsymlinks.sh %k", SYMLINK="%c{1} %c{2} %c{3} %c{4} %c{5} %c{6}" BUS="scsi", KERNEL="scd[0-9]*", PROGRAM="/etc/udev/scripts/cdsymlinks.sh %k", SYMLINK="%c{1} %c{2} %c{3} %c{4} %c{5} %c{6}" to /etc/udev/rules.d/50-udev.rules or to another new file. I am of course in favour of making it defualt ;)
Will be included in next udev release.
