Description John Sutherland 2002-08-21 22:59:14 UTC
I was trying setup my laptop w/ 1.4beta, and after I emerged pcmcia-cs,
reboot, none of the pcmcia modules would load.

From the command prompt, I did a 'depmod -a', and it returned that pcmcia_core
"unresolved symbol: pci_proc_attach_device".

I have HotPlug enabled in the kernel, and PCMCIA disabled, as per
instructions.

After some research, I found this thread:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=714616&forum_id=7049

From tehre, I created an ebuild (attached), and emerged it. Everything works
fine now.

well.. pcmcia-cs-3.2.1 is out and it's masked in Portage... so that should fix
your problem...
