Description Christophe PEREZ 2019-05-18 15:57:23 UTC
Since update from mail-client/evolution-3.24.6 to mail-client/evolution-3.30.5, I can't use/access to my google address book anymore.

I have a message :
Unable to open address book "Google"
This address book cannot be opened. This either means that an incorrect URI was entered, or the server is unreachable.

Detailed error message: Unable to connect to “Google”: Impossible de trouver un créateur de moteur pour la source « 47e7d63eea6075a8fd17fb87cfa176a50b37b5c2 » et l’extension « Address Book ».

I don't have any problem with my google account and anything didn't change.

Edit : I realize that "google" USE disappeared and has been replaced by "oauth" USE, in evolution-data-server. All works now for me.
May be this could have been indicated in a emerge warning.

Edit2 : I have "gnome-online-accounts" USE disabled, for personnal reasons.

Please use LANG=C for "Detailed error message"
Translations are not reproducible and worthless.

To me it sounds like a bug in the software provided upstream or a misconfiguration in your system [3].
Does the same source work for you on another distribution?
If it works on other distributions, but not on Gentoo Linux, I suggest to discuss this problem
on a related mailing list, forum or IRC channel. I have had very good experience on the
Gentoo IRC [1], of course there are also forums and mailing lists. [2]

I will close this bug here, because I do not see a relation to the gentoo ebuild or the way
Gentoo handles this special software package. Please provide more information, if I am wrong.

[3] look up the upstream forums; search in their bug tracker

The message I gave was with LC_ALL=C.
With LANG=C, all the message was in french.
