Description lyzq 2019-05-06 14:11:55 UTC
The MOZ_TELEMETRY_REPORTING flag seems to be set currently, this makes firefox default to Studies being enabled. If anyone wants that at all it should be behind an off-by-default USE flag.

From https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/toolkit/components/telemetry/internals/preferences.html:

If it's not send anywhere, we don't need to collect it, right?

No. You are still able to view stats locally through various channels like about:telemetry. Personally, I find it very useful to get stats about SSL version/cipher usage.

If YOU find it very useful, then YOU can enable it for YOUR browser.
