It has come to my attention that Qt5 packages were stabilised on arm again. However, this is not complete without at least including linguist-tools as well.
To match at least powerpc, the following additional Qt packages would need to be stabilised: dev-qt/assistant dev-qt/linguist dev-qt/pixeltool dev-qt/qdbus dev-qt/qdbusviewer dev-qt/qtgraphicaleffects dev-qt/qtimageformats dev-qt/qtpaths dev-qt/qtquickcontrols dev-qt/qtscript dev-qt/qttranslations dev-qt/qtwayland
(In reply to Andreas Sturmlechner from comment #1) > To match at least powerpc [...] That's a non-goal. While linguist-tools is a pretty "core" Qt module and required by many packages (hence stabilizing it "by default" makes sense), several of the other packages you mentioned are quite rarely used and should not be stabilized unless needed as dependencies or requested by users, especially those that are already deprecated upstream.
OK, it's why kept them outside of package list for you to decide. Adding link to CI check for reference what's required to drop qt5 use.mask.
Added qttranslations

Thanks. Looks like only linguist-tools is strictly required. qtgraphicaleffects, qtimageformats, qtwayland can be stabilized if the arch team wants to, I have no objection. The others should not, unless explicitly requested or needed as deps.
=dev-qt/linguist-tools-5.11.3 is stable on arm. So far I've hit no problems with any of the qt lib stuff. Shall I close this bug, or do you want more pkgs tested/stabilized?
I've also stabilized =dev-qt/qttranslations-5.11.3 on arm.
Thanks, that should suffice for now.
(In reply to Davide Pesavento from comment #8) > Thanks, that should suffice for now. np, when comes time to stabilize 5.12.3, if you can produce an arm specific list that would greatly help.
