4 pages to 1 layout in gpdf just prints out 1 pager per sheet. The layout preview shows that it should indeed print 4 pages per sheet.2 pages to 1 does not work either. Also, why is the print preview button disabled (it works in gnome in general)? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open PDF document in gpdf 2. Open the print dialog, set Layout to 4 pages to 1. 3. Print Actual Results: The printout has 1 page per sheet, justa as if I had not choosen a layout other than the default Expected Results: Four pages per sheet. This is the "GNOME PDF viewer" version 2.8.0, the latest version in x86~ as of 20.10.2004.
can't test. maybe someone of the printing team ? I bet this is an upstream problem. I'm guessing preview being disabled having todo with xpdf backend.
what about gpdf in gnome-2.10?
Looks like the issue is upstream as I found following bug describing the exact same issue: http://bugs.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=300050 From that bug report on GNOME's bugzilla, the issue looks to be present in 2.10 also.
Ok finally got 2.10 installed and the problem still persists. 4 to 1 (and 2 to 1) printing still only printes one page per sheet. Also in gnome-pdf 2.10.0 the print preview button is disabled, can anyone tell me how to fix this?
upstream bug, please report there, next gnome version will switch to evidence most likely though
