Would it be possible for the openoffice ebuild to do a rough check to make sure there is enough space to compile? I am sure that i am not the only one to think that i had enough space (2+GB ) for the compile only to find out that the ebuild fails after a couple of hours due to too little space.
It is quite difficult to set a fixed size as this depends on different factors, also it differs quite a bit between release. To add to that there is the statement in the ebuild which says that you should have 4-5 GB so I think that should be sufficient. Won't fix this.
