Description Tony Vroon (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2019-04-01 11:41:13 UTC
Please create a voip@gentoo.org alias for the VoIP project with me & Jaco (see bug CC), or create it empty so I have the ability to edit on woodpecker. This should be open for any devs to add themselves as they see fit.

Do you really consider it a good idea to create yet another VoIP project (given how horribly the previous one failed) while we're doing all we can to finally kill herds, and only create projects where projects really make sense? And no, I don't see how having a project to maintain different competing VoIP applications makes sense.
Comment 2 Tony Vroon (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2019-04-01 13:30:16 UTC
Yes, I consider it the best way to allow participation by a developer I am mentoring. As per the documentation, there is no approval required for the RFC and negative comments do not block a developer from creating a project.
Please continue & implement.

Per GLEP 39, RFC is *required*. Even though you are free to ignore all the feedback, it doesn't mean you can skip RFC entirely.
