We've already established that herd-like projects don't work well. The project member listing already proves that people within the project have disjoint areas of interest, and media-video@ sometimes ends hiding unmaintained packages. Could you please consider either: a. disbanding the project entirely, and adding yourselves as individual maintainers to packages you care about, or b. reducing the project to maintain 'core' packages (like libraries), and finding dedicated maintainers for packages outside the core set? At this moment, media-video@ is listed in metadata.xml of 191 packages. According to repology, 38 are outdated, and some quite seriously.
Created attachment 591158 [details] video-pkgs.txt Here's a list of packages maintained by media-video@, sorted by latest commit. If I receive no reply, I will proceed starting with bottom-most packages, either moving them to m-n or lastriting.
If you still have the script, shall we revisit this for untouched pkgs?
(In reply to Sam James from comment #2) > If you still have the script, shall we revisit this for untouched pkgs? It's pkg-newest-commit.py in qa-scripts repo. You can grep by maintainer and xargs the package list to it.
Created attachment 700461 [details] list 2021-04-18 I didn't realize this bug was that old. Time flies so fast!
