Description Thomas Stein 2019-03-16 13:35:39 UTC
Hello Devs.

Since upgrade to 1.9.0 i get a lot of rspamd_symcache_validate messages at startup.

complete startup:

This happens on a clean install too. Upstream seems to think there is something wrong with my config files but as i told, even a clean install shows this behaviour.

For reference the upstream issue: https://github.com/rspamd/rspamd/issues/2797

thanks and cheers

Reproducible: Always

Issue solved by comment https://github.com/rspamd/rspamd/issues/2797#issuecomment-473533334

So changing the init script accordingly solves my problem.
Comment 2 Thomas Stein 2019-03-16 15:08:28 UTC
obviously the change in the init script did not solve the issue. it just lets the output vanish. :)
Comment 3 Kilburn Abrahams 2019-03-17 01:27:17 UTC
If I use the init of rspamd 1.8.1 with the 1.9.0 the messages on start/reload disappears.
Comment 4 Thomas Stein 2019-03-17 07:59:16 UTC
Confirmed. Also copying the check_config section to the new init file *AND* adjusting the pidfile location to /var/run/rspamd/rspamd.pid works.
Comment 5 Martin Samek 2019-04-15 14:39:12 UTC
Same problem here with version 1.9.0. init script. I had to revert to the previous version of the init script and delete parts related to checkconfig. The upstream init script is borked now.
Comment 6 Petr Vaněk gentoo-dev 2020-05-05 17:21:42 UTC
Is this still an issue? It was most probably fixed together with the bug https://bugs.gentoo.org/698902 which contains new version of init script.
Comment 7 Jonas Stein gentoo-dev 2020-09-07 18:19:13 UTC
mail-filter/rspamd-1.9.0 is no longer in the tree.

Please reopen, if this does still exist in current versions of mail-filter/rspamd
