Description Bogdan 2004-10-18 14:02:19 UTC
Hello,

I just wanted to remind you of this ebuild, just in case you missed it ... I for one would like to see the ganglia-monitor-core ebulild updated to a newer version. The latest unmasked ebuild is pretty old: v2.5.3 (Mar 2003) and the latest ~x86 ebuild is v2.5.5 (Nov 2003). Latest official release is v2.5.7 (Oct 2004).

Thanks a lot.

Copying the 2.5.5 ebuild to 2.5.7 and running the "ebuild ... digest" command creates a working 2.5.7 ebuild. I was able to emerge and it appears to be running normally. Perhaps this info will help to get ganglia updated in portage?

ganglia-monitor-core-2.5.5 builds fine on amd64 arch. Can someone please add keyword in portage. This package almost seems to be abandoned. Who's the maintainer?
Comment 3 Jean-François Richard 2004-12-31 08:14:41 UTC
I confirm it is working well on amd64 too, I'm using it on two clusters right now. Please add the keyword.

Anybody out there? :)

arch teams do arch keywording, not us.
Comment 5 Danny van Dyk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-21 13:59:27 UTC
Donnie: I can't keyword an ebuild that's not yet in the tree ;-)
Comment 6 Donnie Berkholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-21 15:37:59 UTC
Danny, you need to read comment #2 more carefully .. it's IRT 2.5.5, which is definitely in the tree.
Comment 7 Danny van Dyk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-21 16:15:15 UTC
Uups ;-) Shame on me...
2.5.5 keyworded...
Comment 8 Michael Imhof (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-30 12:24:13 UTC
Stable on x86.
Version 2.5.7 in the tree.
